CHALLENGE:
Ensuring client’s pipelines, plumbing & boilers were system-ready

SOLUTIONS:
Filled components with dye-treated liquid
Flushed pipes with chemical soap agent
Removed slag & debris
Introduced clean water with rust inhibitor

One of OSE’s automotive clients recently required hydrostatic testing prior to putting their new system online. A hydrostatic test is a safe method for checking pressurized vessels such as pipelines, plumbing, and boilers for strength and leaks. The test involves filling the vessel or pipe system with a liquid, which may be dyed to aid in visual leak detection, and pressurization of the vessel to the specified test pressure.

OSE’s crew worked around the clock for three months to help our customer achieve their goal, In addition to testing the chill water system and boiler water system, OSE also flushed the pipes. Our team circulated a chemical soap agent to remove slag and other debris from the inside of pipes. Once the contaminated water was removed, clean water with a rust inhibitor was introduced and the system was ready to begin operating.

Throughout the project OSE supplied mass quantities of water to make sure tasks were completed on time. Our team knows that a shift ending does not mean our job is done, we leave when work is complete. We will always go the extra mile to make sure a project is successful.
