Our TSDF Selection Criteria
We consider several factors when selecting the best, permitted Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF) for your waste. Our most important criteria in this decision is the facility’s safety and compliance record. The waste we handle can be dangerous and the stakes for using an inadequate TSDF high, so we take the time to regularly vet the facilities in our network. We look at their audits and conduct our own onsite inspections to make sure waste is handled safely and responsibly. Additionally, we make sure the facilities we transport to are financially secure and maintain adequate insurance and closure cost coverage. This protects your liability and our own.
It is important to us to make every effort to find a green treatment or recycling opportunity for your waste. This reduces your organization’s carbon footprint and can mean big savings on disposal costs. Thus, a TSDF’s ability to turn your waste into a reusable resource is high on the criteria list. Saving you green, is also a top priority in this decision. Because we dispose of significant quantities of waste with our facility partners, we are able to offer competitive waste disposal prices. We also look at a facility’s processing capabilities and handling costs to determine which TSDF is best suited to accept your specific waste stream. In choosing the most appropriate and cost effective TSDF for your waste, we keep disposal costs to a minimum.
Lastly, location is a key factor in selecting a TSDF. The cost and dangers associated with transporting waste over long distances are high. We will always try to keep waste within a reasonable distance of the point of generation. This keeps your transportation cost low and lessens the opportunity for an incident on the road.
