(BIRMINGHAM, AL) One Stop Environmental, LLC, a woman owned environmental consulting and action firm located in Birmingham, AL recently entered the United States Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development program. The 8(a) program was developed in 1968, and is intended to help small businesses build successful foundations and assist government contracting offices with their procurement quotas. Since the inception of the 8(a) program, there have been more than 542,000 8(a) contract actions, worth approximately $88.4 billion.

“8(a) certification will make the contracting process flow much more smoothly for both the government procurement officers and my contracting staff,” said Shannon Riley, President/CEO of One Stop Environmental. “I am very encouraged by the number of doors opened by the 8(a) program in the past, and the opportunities it presents One Stop Environmental.”

One Stop Environmental, LLC was formed in 1999 as an environmental remediation and hazardous material management company to provide services to the government and private sector. One Stop Environmental, LLC was founded by Shannon Riley, its current President/CEO.
