Two Birmingham companies earned spots on a list of the nation’s fastest-growing inner city companies.
The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and Fortune magazine said the companies were selected for the 2011 Inner 100, a list of expanding firms based in inner city areas. The Inner City 100 program recognizes successful inner city companies and their CEO’s as role models for entrepreneurship, innovative business practices and job creation.
The two Birmingham area companies selected are:
One Stop Environmental, No. 29 on the list
Southern Diagnostic Laboratories, No. 36
The rankings for each company were announced at the Inner City 100 Awards Dinner on Thursday in Boston.
