Shannon Riley started One Stop Environmental (OSE) in 1999 from her garage using the money she made from selling her Ford Explorer. She recognized a need in the Birmingham, Alabama area for a locally based, honest and reasonably priced emergency response company. But after spending many nights on the side of the road cleaning up spills with her husband’s help, she decided she didn’t want a business model that revolved around waiting on an accident.
Leveraging her background in chemistry, Riley set out to turn OSE into a one stop shop for all environmental cleanup needs. Over time she expanded the company to include government, abatement, and industrial divisions and the company now boasts 40 service offerings. We serve clients in the automotive, manufacturing, steel, chemical, federal, construction, utility, commercial real estate and railroad industries. OSE has seen tremendous growth since then, and we’re big enough to tackle even the largest projects, but we never lost the small business mentality that reminds us that every customer is important and deserves our very best.
